You'll lead diverse construction projects valued from $300K to $30M across multifamily, adaptive reuse, medical, mixed-use, and commercial sectors among others. You'll focus on building and delivering successful projects - not estimating, preconstruction, or business development. What You’ll DoLead Projects from Construction Through CloseoutOversee all phases of construction, from mobilization to closeoutPartner closely with Superintendents to align field and office executionMaintain schedules and proactively solve issues to keep projects movingDrive progress with a focus on quality, safety, and efficiencyOwn Budgets & Financial PerformanceManage project budgets and forecastsTrack costs, approve invoices, and manage change ordersEnsure strong financial control and overall project profitabilityCollaborate & Lead TeamsBuild relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teamsKeep teams aligned, accountable, and moving toward shared goalsSupport a positive, solutions-focused project environmentEnsure Safety, Compliance & QualitySupport jobsite safety and maintain OSHA standardsEnsure compliance with codes, permits, and regulationsMonitor quality and maintain high standards across all phasesDrive Communication & OrganizationMaintain clear documentation, contracts, and reportingProvide consistent project updates to stakeholdersKeep communication flowing to enable fast, informed decisionsWhat You BringExperience10+ years in construction, including 5+ years as a Project ManagerExperience with multifamily, mixed-use, or commercial constructionHUD/IHDA experience strongly preferredSkillsStrong financial acumen and budget management experienceExcellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentProficient in Procore, MS Office & OutlookEducation & CertificationsBachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related fieldOSHA 30 preferredPMP certification is a plusWhy Synergy?We’re an established, growing company and building our team with people who want to be part of a team environment and who want to make an impact as we continue to build and develop impactful projects in Chicagoland.
