About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years preferred License: State or Compact license required Certifications: BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Previous charge experience - Patient ratios experience of 1:6 - Experience with Epic charting system - Travel experience required Description: The unit is a medical-surgical unit that focuses on patients with vascular diseases. It consists of twelve private rooms and two semi-private rooms. The potential maximum census is 16 patients. Patients range from young adulthood through geriatrics. Admissions may include other medical-surgical and telemetry overflow patients. The unit has telemetry capabilities. Staffing ratios are maintained at 1 nurse to 6 patients. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. Special procedures and equipment details will be communicated during orientation.
