Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (18:45-07:15), 36-48 hours per week

Highlights:

• High-volume emergency department with 250+ visits per day and 101 beds
• Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:3-5 with full interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
• Regional referral and tertiary care center serving all patient populations across the lifespan
• Epic EMR system with Pyxis medication management and SBAR communication protocols
• Minimum 13-week contract commitment extending through February 27, 2027
• 24-hour orientation program with structured onboarding process

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of emergency department nursing experience required
• Previous charge nurse experience required
• Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state)
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and MOAB required; TNCC preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Must successfully pass EKG competency testing prior to start date
• Proficiency in IV starts, triage, telemetry, and interpretation of cardiac dysrhythmias
• Experience with trauma care, procedural sedation, behavioral health emergencies, and ventilated patients
• Willingness to float between Emergency Observation Unit and Emergency Behavioral Health based on departmental needs
• Flexibility to work minimum of 4 weekend days per 6-week scheduling period
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
