The unit cares for a diverse patient population and sees a high volume of patients. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:3-5, with approximately 250 visits per day. The role may involve floating between various units based on patient needs. Nurses are required to work a minimum of 4 weekend days every 6-week time period. They must adhere strictly to call-off policies. Candidates should have experience in acute psychosis management, intubation assistance, and care of ventilated patients. The role also includes responsibilities like triage, starting IVs, and managing dysrhythmias. Successful candidates will demonstrate teamwork and adherence to behavioral expectations in all interactions. Continuing education and completion of pre-start modules are necessary before beginning the role. All requests for time off must be pre-approved.
