Job Description

Job Summary:
The Ultrasound Technologist specializes in performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations, providing technical assistance to radiologists, and maintaining ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal performance. This role involves preparing patients, capturing high-quality images, and supporting departmental operations.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and examine patients for ultrasound procedures in accordance with established protocols.
• Operate, adjust, and maintain ultrasound equipment while ensuring safety measures are followed.
• Capture and transfer images onto PACS, ensuring accuracy and quality for physician review.
• Assist in orienting and mentoring new ultrasound staff members.
• Manage supplies and equipment, ensuring all necessary tools are available for daily operations.
• Schedule examinations, answer telephones, and facilitate patient transportation as needed.

Qualifications:

• Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS or equivalent).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and familiar with administrative practices.
• Demonstrates strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
• Shows meticulous attention to detail, accuracy, and discretion.
• Possess current ARRT certification or equivalent credential.
