Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)

This is a 13-week contract position.

All shifts available.

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) is responsible for providing individualized nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing facility. Reporting to the Director of Nursing (DON), the LVN collaborates with physicians, nursing staff, residents, families, and other departments to ensure optimal care.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct individualized patient assessments and develop care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered while ensuring compliance with facility policies.
• Provide individual patient and family education aimed at enhancing patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments and responses to care.
• Participate in emergency response activities and ensure all safety protocols are followed.
• Assist in the orientation and education of new staff and team members.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in patient care areas.
• Communicate effectively with all levels of staff and document findings as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Current California LVN license.
• Current BLS level CPR certification.
• Excellent physical health and stamina for patient care activities.
• Ability to handle challenging patient behaviors and scenarios.
• Strong assessment skills with a focus on emergency response.
• Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
