Qualifications and Experience:

• Current, valid Michigan PT license (please provide a screenshot of licensure upon applying)
• Previous experience working in schools required
• Skilled in adapting physical therapy interventions for students with varied levels of ability
• Strong communication skills and collaborative approach with educators and support personnel
• Passion for supporting the needs of students with moderate to severe disabilities

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group physical therapy services to students ages K-26 in a center-based program
• Assess, document, and report on student progress, working from IEP goals and collaborating with special education teams
• Develop creative strategies and interventions to maximize students’ mobility and participation in school activities
• Educate staff and families on adaptive equipment use, at-home programming, and in-school transfer techniques
• Maintain accurate records in accordance with state and district requirements
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expert recommendations
