Tech Stack: Microsoft Excel What You’ll Actually Do General Ledger: Record routine journal entries and help keep the general ledger accurate and up to date. Reconciliations: Reconcile bank accounts and other balance sheet accounts by researching discrepancies and resolving variances. Month-End Close: Support month-end accounting activities by organizing financial data and assisting with closing tasks. Transaction Processing: Process incoming and outgoing transactions related to accounts payable and accounts receivable with close attention to accuracy. Financial Reporting: Prepare supporting schedules and assist in the development of internal financial reports. The Must-Haves Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field; suitable for entry-level professionals or those in the early stages of their career. Experience: Up to 2 years of accounting experience, which may include internships; working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, and account reconciliations. Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, strong attention to detail, effective organizational skills, and clear communication abilities for team collaboration.
