Accounts Receivable Analyst Contractor Our client, a high-growth organization, is seeking an Accounts Receivable Analyst to support collections, cash application, and customer account management during a period of expansion. This position follows a hybrid work schedule in San Francisco, CA; however, remote candidates will be considered. The engagement has an expected duration of 6 months with the possibility of extension. Responsibilities Manage end‑to‑end collections activities for an assigned customer portfolio Monitor aging reports and prioritize outreach to ensure timely payment of outstanding invoices Communicate with customers to resolve billing inquiries, discrepancies, and payment issues Serve as a primary point of contact for customer accounts and maintain strong professional relationships Process and apply customer payments accurately across multiple payment channels Investigate and resolve unapplied cash, short payments, and account discrepancies Reconcile customer accounts and ensure accuracy of AR balances Collaborate cross‑functionally with internal stakeholders to resolve disputes and billing issues Process adjustments, credit memos, and refunds in accordance with policies Prepare AR reports, including aging and collection performance metrics Support cash forecasting by providing insight into expected collections Identify trends and recommend improvements to AR processes and workflows Assist with month‑end close activities, including reconciliations and reporting Requirements 3+ years of experience in accounts receivable, collections, or related finance roles Strong understanding of AR processes, including collections, cash application, and dispute resolution Excellent communication skills with a customer‑service mindset Proficiency in Excel and ability to work with large datasets Experience working with accounting or ERP systems Ability to manage high‑volume workloads with strong attention to detail Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently in fast‑paced environments Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred Compensation Salary commensurate with experience, with potential discretionary bonuses.
