Civil Engineer

Dhillon Engineering, Inc. (DEI) is a design firm in Owings Mills, Maryland specializing in multi-discipline architectural and engineering design services. Our areas of expertise include architecture, civil, structural, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems. In addition, we provide construction management, inspection, and a full range of construction support services. About the Role We are seeking a skilled and motivated Civil Engineer with strong experience in civil design and proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed engineering drawings, developing civil site designs, reviewing technical plans, and supporting projects from design through construction. Responsibilities Prepare and modify civil engineering drawings and plans using Civil 3D. Develop site layouts, grading, drainage, utility, roadway, and other civil design plans. Perform design calculations and assist with engineering analysis. Review plans, specifications, and project requirements for accuracy and compliance. Coordinate with project managers, architects, surveyors, contractors, and other engineering disciplines. Prepare construction documents, details, and technical reports. Conduct site visits and assist with field inspections as required. Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications. Assist with quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and construction documentation. Revise drawings and designs based on project requirements and review comments. Maintain accurate project files and documentation. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Strong proficiency in civil drafting. Knowledge of site development, grading, drainage, utilities, and roadway design. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team. Familiarity with Civil 3D and other civil engineering software. Preferred Skills Fundamental Engineering (FE) or Professional Engineering (PE) license is a plus, but not required. Compensation Pay is contingent upon experience level.
