Business Manager

Position Details Business Manager – Office of Business and Finance, School of Public Health, Rutgers University – Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences (RBHS). Location: Piscataway, NJ. Posting Number: 26ST1429. Grade: 30S (Exempt). Salary: $105,763 – $161,814 (VS 30S salary scale). Employment type: Full Time, 37.5 hours/week, Day shift. Staff – 12 month appointment; hybrid work arrangement may be eligible. Posting Summary / Responsibilities Prepares annual budget (all funds) for the School of Public Health (SPH), provides updated projections and ongoing analysis. Manages financial planning, analysis, and administration of all SPH funds; reviews, approves and controls all salary and non‑salary expenditures on a daily basis; ensures expenses properly coded and compliant with Rutgers policy. Assesses cost efficiencies by monitoring department fiscal and administrative operations and procedures. Manages all revenue resources including tuition, continuing education fees, service fees and grants/contract funds; oversees inter‑School collaborative agreements and funds transfers related to tuition sharing and exemptions. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance plus five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in managing fiscal activities, including budget development, financial statement preparation, and grant application preparation, with at least three (3) years in Grants and Contracts administration. Two (2) years of supervisory or management experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and experience with Oracle Cloud and PeopleSoft. Outstanding human relations and leadership skills, and the ability to function effectively in a team environment. Preferred Qualifications None specified.
