Senior Accountant

Senior AccountantLumens is looking for a detail-oriented and hands-on Senior Accountant who thrives in a collaborative environment and brings both technical precision and business savvy to the table. You'll play a central role in keeping our financial operations running smoothly — from partnering with our Controller to ensure the integrity of our general ledger to supporting our sales organization on credit and collections and ensuring timely sales tax filings.Total Target Compensation Range: $85,000-$95,000Key ResponsibilitiesPerform general ledger account reconciliations with accuracy and timelinessManage the credit and collections function, including working closely with our sales team to approve credit termsLeverage NetSuite to maintain financial data, generate reports, and support month-end closeBuild and maintain Excel-based models and analyses to support financial decision-makingCollaborate cross-functionally with sales and operations to ensure financial processes run efficientlyLead and support the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including preparation and review of journal entries and accrualsPrepare and file timely and accurate sales and use tax returns across multiple jurisdictionsAssist in the preparation of financial statements and management reporting packagesSupport internal and external audits by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentationIdentify process improvement opportunities and help implement best practices across the accounting functionEnsure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policiesSkills and Experience5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a mid-size or growth-stage companyBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or CPA candidacy a strong plusStrong hands-on experience with general ledger reconciliation and month-end closeProficiency in NetSuite, including report building and saved searchesExperience overseeing credit and collections, including credit risk assessmentAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills — pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and complex formulas are second nature to youSolid understanding of GAAP and revenue recognition principlesExperience with sales and use tax compliance across multiple statesStrong attention to detail, sound judgment, and excellent communication skillsAbility to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentA collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to work cross-functionallyAbout Lumens: As North America's premier destination for design aficionados, architects, interior designers, and contract professionals, Lumens offers a discerning edit of modern lighting, furniture, and décor.
