The Role

We're hiring a Tier 1 Support Technician / Field Tech to be the first line of defense for our clients. You'll handle day-to-day support tickets remotely, jump on the occasional on-site visit around the Charlotte area, and work alongside our senior engineers on security and infrastructure projects. This is a great seat for someone who wants to grow into cybersecurity, cloud engineering, or senior MSP work — we invest in our people.

What You'll Do

• Own Tier 1 tickets from intake to resolution via our RMM and ticketing platform (NinjaOne)
• Perform basic threat cleanup — malware removal, quarantining endpoints, running EDR scans, following IR runbooks
• Administer Microsoft 365 tenants: user provisioning, licensing, Exchange Online, SharePoint/OneDrive, MFA, Conditional Access basics
• Manage endpoints via Microsoft Intune and Azure AD/Entra — enrollments, policy pushes, compliance checks
• Support client hardware: workstations, printers, network equipment, and light server work.
• Travel to client sites in the Charlotte metro for installs, break-fix, and onboarding (mileage reimbursed)
• Document everything — clean notes, updated asset records, and KB contributions

What We're Looking For

Required:

• 1–3 years in an MSP, MSSP, or internal IT support role
• Hands-on with an RMM platform (NinjaOne strongly preferred; ConnectWise Automate, Datto RMM, N-able, or Kaseya also considered)
• Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 admin — users, groups, licensing, Exchange, SharePoint
• Comfortable in Azure AD / Entra ID and Microsoft Intune for device management
• Basic malware/threat cleanup experience — you know what to do when an EDR alert fires
• Solid Windows 10/11 troubleshooting; comfort with basic networking (DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls)
• Clean driving record and reliable vehicle for local client visits
• Strong written communication — our clients are professionals and expect the same from us

Nice to have:

• Experience supporting RIAs, financial advisors, or other regulated industries
• Familiarity with SentinelOne, Huntress, Blackpoint, or similar EDR/MDR tools
• CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or MS-900 / AZ-104 certifications
• PowerShell scripting basics
• Exposure to SOC 2, Reg S-P, or general compliance frameworks
