Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations for pediatric, adult, and elderly patients using a combination of standardized assessments and observational techniques.
• Craft individualized treatment plans that target both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions focusing on various aspects, including communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams of physical therapists, occupational therapists, physicians, caregivers, and families to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
• Provide education and resources for patients and families to support their progress beyond clinical sessions.
• Engage in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring consistent and effective care throughout their healing journey.
• Uphold meticulous documentation practices that align with all relevant state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
• Commit to lifelong learning by staying updated on the latest advancements in the field through educational opportunities and peer collaboration.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required for those who are not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory within 30 days of hire.
