Description

• Conduct evaluations for patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using both standardized assessments and observational methods.
• Craft tailored treatment plans addressing both immediate goals and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions emphasizing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing functionalities.
• Collaborate seamlessly with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to devise comprehensive care strategies.
• Provide education for patients and family members to reinforce progress outside therapy sessions.
• Occasionally assist with inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring a smooth continuum of care throughout the recovery journey.
• Maintain accurate and prompt documentation in line with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Keep abreast of the latest advancements in the field through ongoing education and peer engagement.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification has not been achieved yet.

Certifications

• Valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of starting employment.
