This contract role offers the opportunity to teach in a self-contained classroom, focusing on students who benefit from individualized approaches to learning. There is flexibility to work with students in either Kindergarten through 2nd grade or 4th through 5th grade, depending on your experience and interest.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification required
• Prior experience working with students in special education settings
• Knowledge of instructional strategies tailored to diverse learning needs
• Ability to manage and adapt lessons in a self-contained classroom
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff
• Flexibility to teach either K–2 or 4th–5th grade depending on assignment
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive classroom culture

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group instruction aligned with student IEPs
• Develop, modify, and implement lesson plans based on student abilities and goals
• Collaborate with support staff, related service providers, and families
• Maintain accurate records on student progress and behavior
• Utilize a variety of instructional materials and technology to engage learners
• Support students’ social-emotional and academic growth
