IT SpecialistThe IT Specialist supports the Information Systems team and the customer facilities with Help Desk, systems administration, new hires and purchasing.Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesResponds in a timely fashion to end users' needs and concerns relating to computer business applications and general systems issuesDiagnoses and resolves technical problems, escalating problems when necessaryInstalls hardware and peripheral components such as monitors, keyboards, printers and disk drivesProvides support for both software and hardwareSet up new hires with equipment as designatedPurchase components and supplies related to functionComplete projects as assignedUnderstand and abide by Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and proceduresAdhere to the Company mission, policies and procedures, and State and Federal regulationsSupervisory ResponsibilityNoneEducation And ExperienceDegree in Network Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar field or work experience (3+ years)3+ years support for Windows 10,73+ years support for Windows server 2012, 20083+ years support for Microsoft Office Products including O3652+ years experience with Active Directory (Add/Delete/Manage Users)2+ years experience with Group Policy2+ years experience with DNSAbility to handle projects as assigned by IS managersKnowledge of wiring and cablesPhysical RequirementsOperate a computer and other office components such as a calculator, copy machine, and printerFrequently communicates and transcribes informationMove and install equipment weighing up to 15lbsFrequently positions self to maintain computers and other equipment, including under desks and in the server closetOther DutiesThis job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
