Job Summary Key Responsibilities Lead and support the pastry team in daily production and service execution Assist the Executive Pastry Chef with menu development, recipe testing, and seasonal offerings Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation standards across all pastry items Oversee production schedules, inventory, ordering, and waste control Train, mentor, and motivate team members while maintaining a positive kitchen culture Maintain sanitation, safety, and food handling standards in compliance with regulations Support catering, special events, and high-volume production operations Help manage labor efficiency and maintain smooth kitchen operations in a fast‑paced environment Qualifications 3+ years of pastry experience in high‑volume production environments Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to multitask and perform well under pressure Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and quality standards Reliable, detail‑oriented, and team‑focused Proficient with basic computer systems and kitchen operations ServSafe certification preferred Catering experience is a plus Apply to Union Square Events today!
