Role Overview As a Manufacturing Technician, you will work hands‑on in a cleanroom environment to build and test multimillion‑dollar display and wafer fabrication equipment that underpins the technology we use every day. Your responsibilities include building, repairing, and testing equipment and performing electro‑mechanical assembly operations, troubleshooting, repairs, audits, and component inspections. You will use test fixtures, electronic measurement equipment, leak detectors, and vacuum pumps to test assemblies, complete documentation, perform repairs, or install software to continuously improve our processes. Role Responsibilities Use work orders and supporting documents to build, repair, or test equipment of various kinds. Perform electro‑mechanical assembly operations, troubleshooting, and repair tasks. Audit parts and inspect for defects; troubleshoot and improve processes. Use test fixtures, electronic measurement equipment, leak detectors, and vacuum pumps to test assemblies, sub‑assemblies, and components. Complete required job documentation (data entry) about progress, work expense, and labor details; perform computer programming, repairs, or software installs as needed. Work independently with minimal supervision and serve as an informal resource for junior colleagues. Minimum Qualifications Associate’s degree. 2–4 years of semiconductor or display experience, or comparable industry or military experience. Related technical trainings and certifications. Preferred Qualifications Solid analytical skills and ability to problem‑solve using established operating procedures or scientific methods. Demonstrated capability to operate as a peer leader and trainer. Demonstrated proficiency for required semiconductor manufacturing concepts and processes. Relevant certifications (e.g., ASSEET, BSEET). Physical Requirements This physically demanding position often requires standing for extended periods, walking, working in tight spaces, bending, squatting, twisting, kneeling, reaching, climbing stairs and ladders, lifting, distinguishing colors, working in a noisy environment, using hand and power tools, and operating heavy machinery including forklifts. You may also need to wear appropriate PPE such as coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, chemical aprons, and face shields when working in a cleanroom.
