Opportunity:

Scrub Tech - OR

Job Details:

• 13-week contract with 40 guaranteed hours per week
• Variable day shifts required
• On-call responsibilities include 6-8 weeknight call nights and 1-2 weekend call shifts during the 13-week contract with a 30-minute response time (must be ready and in the OR within 30 minutes)
• Weekend shifts for call only
• Holiday rotation required as needed
• Hours are not guaranteed during the week of orientation or during holidays when the unit is closed
• May be required to float to additional locations as needed
• Must have own vehicle - cannot rely on rideshare services due to on-call responsibilities
• Minimum 4+ years of experience required
• Prior travel experience required
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Graduate of a certified surgical technologist program required
• Required certifications: BLS, CST license (NBSTSA or NCCT accepted); AHA or ARC certifications required
• Strong proficiency in Ortho, Neuro, and Spine required; must be comfortable with complex spine and neuro cases and total joint procedures
• Craniotomy cases experience required for call
• Experience setting up operative suites, reviewing case carts for supplies, and scrubbing surgical cases across a variety of specialties
• Responsible for turning over rooms for multiple procedures throughout the day
• Facility operates 21 ORs across all specialties averaging 40-60 cases per day
• Experience in General Surgery, GYN, Urology, Plastics, ENT, and GI is a bonus but not required
• Must be flexible, hardworking, resilient, and willing to assist with downtime tasks and training new hires

The facility operates 21 operating rooms and handles an average of 40-60 cases per day, reflecting a high-volume surgical environment. As a Level II Trauma Center, the facility provides advanced care and supports a broad spectrum of surgical disciplines including orthopedics, neuroscience, spine, and more.
