This role will partner closely with managers and employees across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, employee relations, benefits, compliance, and performance management.Key Responsibilities
- Manage onboarding and offboarding processes, including offer letters, new-hire documentation, I-9 verification, and exit procedures.
- Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions regarding policies, benefits, leave, and workplace concerns.
- Support employee relations matters, conduct initial fact-finding, and escalate sensitive issues appropriately.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data while protecting confidential information.
- Assist with payroll, benefits enrollment, leave administration, and workers’ compensation coordination.
- Ensure HR policies and practices comply with California labor laws, including wage-and-hour, meal/rest breaks, paid sick leave, leave of absence, and personnel-file requirements.
- Support performance review, training, engagement, and workplace culture initiatives.
- Help update employee handbooks, HR policies, and compliance postings as needed.Qualifications
- 3–5 years of progressive HR Generalist or related HR experience.
- Solid working knowledge of California employment and labor laws.
- Experience supporting employee relations, onboarding, benefits, leave administration, and HR
- Strong communication, organization, judgment, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally.
- Experience with HRIS and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- PHR/SHRM-CP certification is a plus.Why Join Us
