Trusts & Estates Accounting Paralegal - Syracuse

Hancock Estabrook, LLP, a respected full-service law firm in Central New York, is seeking a full-time accountant with at least two years of experience to join its growing Trusts and Estates Department. Primary Responsibilities Preparing accountings, fiduciary income tax returns, gift tax returns and Federal and NYS estate tax returns Preparing Surrogate Court asset inventories Marshalling, organizing, and analyzing asset information for tax planning Preparing asset summary spreadsheets Coordinating and working with attorneys on case management Qualifications Minimum of two years of accounting experience required Experience in managing matters and maintaining case organization Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong interpersonal abilities Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy Hancock Estabrook offers a competitive salary and benefits package including medical, dental and vision coverage; a 401(k) and profit-sharing retirement plan; paid holidays, vacation, and sick time; 35-hour work week; group-term life insurance; LTD insurance at no cost. The salary range for this position is $65,000-90,000 annually and represents the firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
