Client Overview Our client, a well-known construction company, is looking for an impressive Controller to join their Accounting team based in Tampa, FL (Plam River/Brandon area). This is an opportunity for an accounting professional to join a well-established organization with a fantastic company culture. The Controller must be technically strong, collaborative, and have construction accounting experience. Salary/Hourly Rate $85k - $100k DOE Position Overview The Controller will lead a cohesive Accounting Department, reporting directly to the Principal of the organization, and working alongside 3 other individuals. This is a fast-paced and high-volume environment that provides extensive exposure to the business of construction. Responsibilities Of The Controller Managing all accounting operations, including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, cost accounting, and revenue recognition. Coordinating the annual budgeting and planning process. Administering and reviewing all financial plans for variance analysis. Supporting the month-end, quarter, and year-end close process. Ensuring 401(K)/insurance administration. Developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies. Responsible for audit preparation and compliance. Supervising payroll and contracts. Required Experience/Skills For The Controller Prevalent industry experience. Preferred Experience/Skills For The Controller Bilingual is a plus, but not required.
