About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their dynamic team. The CFO will be a key partner to all departments, with a focus on improving margins and enhancing profitability. This role is pivotal in the company's growth strategy, which includes a dual approach of organic growth and M&A. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial statement presentation, overseeing financial planning, and leading business operations analytics. A critical task for the CFO will be to lead the refinancing of a significant amount of existing debt, securing favorable terms, and optimizing the company's capital structure. Additionally, the CFO will be instrumental in developing a top-tier Financial Planning and Analysis department and managing relationships with investors. Applicants for the CFO position at the company should have a strong leadership background in a finance or accounting function, with a minimum of 18 years' experience. Experience in private equity-backed construction, homebuilding, asset management, commercial real estate, or multi-unit development firms is a plus. The role requires a strategic thinker who can work closely with the executive team to formulate and execute business plans. The CFO will also be responsible for providing quarterly reporting to the Board of Directors, Debt Holders, and CEO, and must be adept at interpreting results in a quantitative and qualitative manner. A hands-on approach to defining and creating reporting around Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) is essential, as is the ability to ensure that annual audits are completed in a timely manner, resulting in GAAP financials.
