APG Field Service Representative - Level 3

Job Description Long‑term overseas field service assignment at Osan AB, KR as an airframe (APG) technical representative. Supports active duty U-2 aircraft maintainers. Requires qualification on the U-2 aircraft to perform duties expected of a fully qualified Air Force 7- or 9‑level aircraft mechanic. Must have systems knowledge and hands‑on experience on aircraft general, fuels, hydraulics, engine, egress, flight controls, structures and/or environmental control systems. Assists Air Force (AF) with periodic inspection tasks, flight‑line sortie generation operations, and strong troubleshooting. Reads aircraft drawings and interprets technical data. Provides informal OJT training for AF personnel on aircraft systems; inspects/sign‑off work of others; downgrades Red X conditions; assists flight‑worthiness decisions; performs hands‑on tasks such as inspections, servicing, troubleshooting and repairs. Documents work in aircraft forms and Integrated Maintenance Data System (IMDS). Reports in‑flight emergencies, incidents, daily and monthly reports using computer‑based systems. Serves as point of contact for Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company and government program‑management inquiries. Must know AF policy and procedures regarding aircraft maintenance. Works well with AF and contractor personnel. Designated mission‑essential and worldwide‑deployable. Accepts military quarters on travel and maintains mobilization qualifications (chemical warfare, anthrax, smallpox). Accepts location‑specific rules and guidelines for personal safety, security, cultural awareness, and acceptable behavior. Undergoes government security investigation and meets access to classified information eligibility. Passes overseas physical annually on assignment. Responsibilities Assist in inspection, servicing, troubleshooting, and repair tasks on U-2 aircraft. Provide OJT training and sign‑off on maintenance work. Conduct periodic inspections and flight‑line sortie generation. Document work and report incidents through computer systems. Serve as point of contact for contractor and government inquiries. Maintain compliance with Air Force policies and procedures. Benefits & Pay Competitive salary ranging from $81,600 to $143,865 in selected states and $93,800 to $162,610 in major metropolitan areas. Eligible for incentive plan. Basic Qualifications Five years minimum experience in flight line and/or aircraft mechanical systems. Mechanical systems experience and troubleshooting. Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, drawings, or schematics. Computer skills; Microsoft Office suite. Current Secret Clearance required. Desired Skills U-2 flight line experience. U-2 mechanical systems experience. U-2 repair & reclamation skills. Power plant and/or structures experience. Air Force Forms 781 documentation, Integrated Maintenance Data System (IMDS) knowledge. Air Force quality assurance experience. AF supply system knowledge. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Bachelor’s degree or higher. Security Clearance Position requires U.S. citizenship and a current Secret clearance. Government security investigation required; eligibility to access classified information. Must pass an overseas physical annually. Location & Work Schedule Onsite, full‑time at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Supports varied alternate work schedules.
