Accounting Assistant

Our client is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to support its accounting and administrative operations. This position is responsible for handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general office coordination while assisting with month‑end and year‑end close activities. The ideal candidate is proactive, able to manage multiple priorities, and committed to maintaining accuracy in a fast‑paced environment. Key Responsibilities Process accounts payable invoices and vendor payments. Prepare customer invoices, post payments, and assist with accounts receivable activities. Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation. Assist with month‑end and year‑end close processes, including reconciliations and reporting support. Provide general office coordination and administrative support. Organize and maintain accounting files and records. Respond to vendor, customer, and internal inquiries related to accounting matters. Support special projects and perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous experience in an accounting, bookkeeping, or accounting assistant role. Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting principles. Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with accounting software is preferred. Experience with real‑estate accounting is a plus. Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills with a collaborative approach.
