Job Description Ohio Department of Public Safety – Bureau of Motor Vehicles/Field Operations/Deputy Technical Services Report in Location: 1970 West Broad Street, Columbus, OH 43223 Work Hours: Monday thru Friday 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturdays 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (Hours May Vary) What You’ll Do as a Data Systems Coordinator 1 Coordinate and monitor implementation, development, installation and/or maintenance of computer hardware and software systems. Provide first level service helpdesk support and act as liaison between BMV and the state of Ohio Deputy Registrars, Exam Stations, IRP offices, LADR offices, and FADR offices. Use manual to troubleshoot and rectify minor issues pertaining to hardware, application (BASS), and network issues. Escalate major and non-routine issues to higher level programmers, network technicians and/or vendors. Provide assistance regarding operational and procedural inquiries including, but is not limited to, questions pertaining to vehicle registration, the Ohio Revised Code, Deputy Registrar Manual, Ohio traffic laws, and all related procedures and processes. Job Skills: Information Technology Unusual Working Conditions Work involves operation of computer terminal for long periods of time; overtime may be required.
