What You'll Do:

• Provide advanced clinical care for cardiothoracic surgery patients with a focus on patient-centered approach
• Assist in cardiac surgeries, including performing endoscopic vein harvesting and first assisting as needed
• Manage ICU and cardiovascular surgical patient care, including rounding and evaluations in CVICU, floors, and clinics
• Conduct patient assessments, order and interpret lab and diagnostic tests
• Develop treatment plans and follow-up strategies based on patient outcomes
• Prescribe medications in accordance with policies
• Perform bedside procedures appropriate for the patient population
• Collaborate with surgeons, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality care
• Document all clinical encounters thoroughly and promptly
• Stay current with continuing medical education requirements

What You Need:

• Active Colorado Nurse Practitioner license and certification
• At least 2 years of experience in cardiac or cardiovascular surgical care preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, decision-making, and communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Excellent teamwork and problem-solving skills
