Branch Services Representative II

Member Service RepresentativeResponsible for all member service duties, sales, and relationship management while reaching established goals. Consistently achieves the ALEC delivery process, possesses product knowledge to deepen member relationships, and performs the essential functions within the position.Essential FunctionsDemonstrates understanding of and commitment to the credit union's ongoing mission, vision and core values.Maintains mastery level knowledge of all ALEC products, services, procedures, policies, and appropriate regulatory issues relating to daily job.Consistently provides exceptional member service to every member, internal and external, every time by adhering to the ALEC Service Model.Serves as members' single point of contact on all ALEC products and services.Processes a variety of member transactions with minimal errors, according to established ALEC policies and procedures; including but not limited to deposits, withdrawals, cash advances, loan payments, transfers and check cashing on credit union data processing system, accounting for assigned cash; opening and closing of terminal as needed.Identifies and matches member product needs with ALEC products and services by interviewing members and discussing their financial needs, including making referrals to other staff members and departments to ensure member needs are met.Opens new accounts, certificates of deposit, credit cards, and all other ancillary credit union products and services; answers member questions, provides account opening information, and ensures that proper paperwork is completed and entered on the computer system.Implement all sales strategies, including new products and services developed by management.Works applicable sales leads from vendors and internal sources.Retains existing members and develops new member relationships.Consistently meets and often exceeds performance goals and actively participates in all sales campaigns.Represents credit union in various marketing and sponsor related activities and events.Assists with daily vault/cash procedures.Maintains professional appearance and image while conducting business with members and vendors.Performs security functions by opening and closing branch and vault and ensuring overall safety.Remains updated on all security procedures and equipment.Secondary FunctionsProvides back-up support for ITM processing as needed.Assists co-workers in locating outages and correcting entries.Research member errors and provide corrective action in a prompt manner.Pursues personal development opportunities to improve knowledge as it relates to the position, compliance, and the credit union in general.Adheres to all policies and procedures and maintains member confidentially in accordance with ALEC policies.Floats between locations as deemed necessary for business coverage on any given day for any requested time period, including possible extended periods of time.Serves as mentor for Branch Services Representatives coming out of training.Leads by example and assists Branch Manager with special projects as requested.Other duties may be assigned.QualificationsEducation Required: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)Experience Required: Two (2) years of experience in a customer service role with cash-handling experience.Experience Preferred: Two (2) years of experience in a service role with cash-handling experience within a financial institution.Up to 15% local travelThe base pay for this position is $18.32 to $30.54 per hour.
