This individual will operate multiple gas manufacturing units. They include processes and equipment associated with a large Air Separation Unit (ASU) consisting of cryogenic distillation, feed air purification, large centrifugal compressors, distillation columns, pumps, heat exchangers and refrigeration equipment for the pipeline and liquid customers. The Baytown HYCO portion is a Refinery Offgas Hydrogen purification unit that consists of mol sieve adsorber purification equipment, Hydrogen compression and a large standalone steam generator.The operations team also supports operations of multiple satellite locations including two Offgas Hydrogen purification plants in the Baytown and Mont Belvieu area and two small ASU plants in the Houston and Conroe area. These plants are operated by a dedicated off site outside satellite operator and process is operated remotely by our Operating Services Center via digital control system (DCS). Check out some of our benefits below!Affordable Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance (day 1 of employment)401k with 100% vested company core and matchPaid Vacation, holidays + sick timePaid Parental leave (Up to 8 weeks)Backup Child and Adult Care benefitAdoption assistanceFlexible spending accounts (medical, dependent daycare)Life Insurance (AD&D- Paid for by Air Products), Supplemental AD&DLegal Plan & Identity theft coverageEAP (Employee Assistance Program)Many more supplemental benefits availableRoles And Responsibilities:Use Digital Control System (DCS) to monitor, trend, troubleshoot and control the equipment, processes and utilities.Maintain water chemistry for package boiler, waterbath vaporizers and cooling towers.Calibrate and troubleshoot analytical equipment used in live processes and utility systems.Perform operations preventative maintenance tasks, safety inspections and plant log readings.Issue electronic safe work permits and clean/inert and perform LOTO on equipment that could contain flammable gas, oxidizing and inert gas and cryogenic liquid.Assist with cryogenic liquid product trailer loading and utility chemical offloading.Ensure plant worker safety and process safety is maintained using operational discipline philosophy and process safety management (PSM) standards.Qualifications / Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent.At least 5 years of proven experience with continuous plant process operations, maintenance, and equipment used in industrial process plants.Must be able to read/understand P&IDs and Electrical single lines.Computer proficiency using core Microsoft 365 applications.Strong communications skills.Desire and ability to work with a team and individually.Commitment to safety, integrity, quality and continuous improvement.Valid and clean driver's license.Must be able to qualify for a TWIC card.Interplant travel and operational support for four local satellite plants.Military experience or a Process Technology degree is a plus.Physical Requirements:Work 12-hour rotating shifts including nights, weekends and holidays that fall on rotation.On call requirements as needed.Elevated work required around columns, tanks and structures via ladders, stairs, JLG and scaffolds.Lift a minimum of 50 lbs.Elevated work required.Founded in 1940, Air Products is a world-leading industrial gases company and has a proud history of innovation, operational excellence, with an unwavering commitment to safety and environmental stewardship.
