Make a difference in a vibrant educational community by supporting young learners as a dedicated school psychologist on a contract assignment located near Hartford, CT. This hands-on, in-person role covers a maternity leave from mid-December through the first week of April, providing essential evaluation services for a K-2 school, with a handful of assessments at nearby parochial locations.

What You'll Bring:

• Valid School Psychologist certification (Connecticut or eligible for licensure)
• Master’s or Specialist degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
• Previous school-based experience, ideally with K-2 students
• Strong assessment, testing, and report-writing skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and special education teams
• Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently for evaluations
• Reliable transportation for in-person attendance and onsite visits

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychoeducational and behavioral evaluations for K-2 students to determine eligibility for special education services
• Complete comprehensive written reports outlining findings and recommendations
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to share evaluation results and support educational planning
• Administer, score, and interpret a full range of psychological tests as needed for initial and re-evaluations
• Visit local parochial schools to provide similar evaluation services as required
• Maintain accurate records and adhere to all applicable federal, state, and school policies
