This position is based at a K-2 campus, with occasional evaluation responsibilities at a nearby parochial school. The assignment runs from December through the end of April, aligning perfectly for professionals seeking mid-school year placement.

Your key focus will be conducting comprehensive evaluations for students ages 5 to 8. This is an assessment-only role—no ongoing counseling or therapy sessions required—ideal for psychologists who are passionate about diagnostics, collaborating with educators, and shaping students' educational experiences through data-driven insights.

What we’re looking for:

• Valid Connecticut school psychologist license (CT PSYCH. required)
• Previous experience in educational settings, particularly elementary grades, preferred
• Expertise in administering, scoring, and interpreting psychoeducational assessments
• Strong report writing and communication skills
• Ability to work independently while staying connected to a multidisciplinary team
• Comfortable traveling between the main K-2 school and, as needed, a local parochial site

Role responsibilities:

• Complete psychoeducational evaluations for early elementary students
• Attend eligibility and planning meetings as necessary to present assessment findings
• Coordinate with teachers, administrators, and families to ensure accurate representation of student needs
• Maintain documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations
• Efficiently manage schedule to complete evaluations within district timelines

The schedule follows a traditional school day: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am–3:30 pm, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch. This contract role offers a wonderful balance for those seeking a structured, school-based environment without counseling demands.
