Step into a pivotal contract opportunity as a School Psychologist, where your expertise will support young learners in their educational journey. This position centers exclusively on conducting evaluations, allowing you to leverage your skills in assessment while focusing on a K-2 student population. Based primarily at one elementary campus, you may also conduct a limited number of evaluations at a local parochial school, ensuring a dynamic and rewarding experience.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Connecticut School Psychologist license (CT PSYCH.)
- Prior experience in K-2 educational environments preferred
- Solid background in psychological and educational evaluations
- Familiarity with diverse assessment tools, reports, and eligibility determinations
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Effective communicator, adept at working with teams and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational evaluations for K-2 students
- Complete all required assessment documentation and reports promptly
- Collaborate with school staff, teachers, and families to interpret evaluation outcomes
- Participate in eligibility meetings and contribute professional insights to student support teams
- Travel as needed between the main site and parochial school for occasional assessments
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all interactions
- Note: This position is evaluation-only—no counseling duties are required
This rewarding assignment runs from December through the end of April, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with a 30-minute unpaid lunch each day. Your dedicated hours will be focused on truly making a difference in the assessment process for the youngest learners.
