Associate Attorney - Insurance Defense Litigation Location: Purchase, NY (Hybrid Schedule) Compensation: $120,000 - $160,000 DOE Our client, a highly respected and growing civil defense law firm in Purchase, New York , is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its dynamic litigation team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of litigation experience , although accomplished trial attorneys with additional experience are also encouraged to apply. Practice Areas The firm's diverse litigation practice includes: Premises Liability Defense Casualty Defense Product Liability Defense Medical Malpractice Defense Commercial Auto and Trucking Litigation Retail Liability Matters Many cases involve complex liability issues, catastrophic injuries, multiple claimants, and high-exposure matters that require strong advocacy, strategic thinking, and sound judgment. Responsibilities This is a hands-on role where attorneys are encouraged to take ownership of their cases while working alongside experienced litigators. Responsibilities include: Taking and defending depositions Attending court appearances and conferences Drafting and arguing substantive motions Performing legal research and developing litigation strategy Managing cases from inception through resolution Communicating regularly with clients, experts, and opposing counsel Assisting with trial preparation and trial work Collaborating with partners and senior attorneys on complex litigation matters Candidates with deposition, motion practice, and courtroom experience are preferred, but attorneys looking to strengthen these skills will receive exceptional training and mentorship.
