Associate Market Clinical Director

ChenMed is seeking an Associate Market Clinical Director to lead and manage Clinical Directors within an assigned market, ensuring high-quality clinical outcomes and operational success. This role combines direct patient care as a Primary Care Provider (PCP) with significant leadership responsibilities, including performance management, talent development, and fostering a strong clinical-operations synergy. The successful candidate will contribute to the rapid expansion of a unique primary care model focused on transforming healthcare for seniors.

Practice Info

• Directly supervises, performance manages, and trains Clinical Directors within an assigned market
• Accountable for center performance objectives, P&L, growth, and culture
• A portion of time allocated to direct patient care as a PCP and/or other clinical duties
• Remainder of time allocated to leadership responsibilities including Clinical Director performance, engagement, building a strong clinical-operations synergy and culture
• Allocation of time is dependent on several factors including PCP capacity, market needs, size of centers, patient membership and Regional President direction

Responsibilities

• Direct accountability for clinical outcomes and day-to-day management of Medical Directors in multiple centers within assigned market
• Ensures successful clinical operations and meeting/exceeding plan market earnings
• Manages, mentors, and coaches Medical Directors in his/her assigned market to deliver outstanding clinical outcomes
• Oversees and facilitates talent development of the PCPs, NPs, and Medical Directors in his/her centers
• Cultivates a center-level physician culture that is fully aligned with the ChenMed core model, core values & behaviors and service standards
• Participates in recruiting and interviewing PCP and specialist candidates
• Establishes and supports the development and cultivation of successful relationships with payers, specialists, the community, and hospitals
• Monitors and supports overall market culture, responding with urgency to workplace concerns

Compensation

• PAY RANGE: $238,832 - $341,189 Salary

Requirements

• MD or DO in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics or similar specialty required
• A minimum of 2 years' clinical experience required; 3 years preferred
• Strongly prefer one (1) years' previous experience as Medical Director or equivalent with a Medicare or Medicaid patient population
• Board eligibility is required
• Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics or similar is preferred
• Current, active license to practice medicine in State of employment
• High performing physician with a proven track record of clinical leadership experience
• Must have completed all internal physician training and have attained partnership
• Experience with population risk management or complex chronic disease care management
• Ability to travel locally, regionally and nationally up to 30% of the time
