- Conduct evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations employing both standardized assessments and observational methods.
- Create tailored treatment plans that address both immediate and long-term communication and swallowing challenges.
- Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions focusing on aspects such as communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
- Collaborate with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to ensure cohesive and holistic care.
- Facilitate education for patients and their families to foster progress beyond the therapy room.
- Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions to maintain comprehensive care throughout treatment.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation that adheres to state, federal, and organizational policies.
- Commit to ongoing professional development through education and collaboration with peers.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.
- State licensure as a Speech Language Therapist .
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification necessary within 30 days of hire.
- Expertise in evidence-based treatment approaches for all age groups, paired with a deep understanding of speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills allowing you to connect with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to customize therapy to accommodate a diverse range of cultural and linguistic needs.
- Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation processes.
