Key Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations employing both standardized assessments and observational methods.
• Create tailored treatment plans that address both immediate and long-term communication and swallowing challenges.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions focusing on aspects such as communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Collaborate with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to ensure cohesive and holistic care.
• Facilitate education for patients and their families to foster progress beyond the therapy room.
• Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions to maintain comprehensive care throughout treatment.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation that adheres to state, federal, and organizational policies.
• Commit to ongoing professional development through education and collaboration with peers.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications and Licenses

• State licensure as a Speech Language Therapist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification necessary within 30 days of hire.
