Position Summary: Reef is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support the accounting and reporting functions across a complex portfolio of joint venture investment entities. This role will oversee accounting operations for multiple private equity investment structures, including private equity, real estate, and general joint venturesThe ideal candidate will bring strong technical fund accounting expertise, experience working within multi-entity investment structures, and a deep understanding of GP/LP allocations, blockers, feeders, and investor reporting. Responsibilities:Financial Reporting & CloseLead month-end close and prepare monthly financial statements and supporting workpapersMaintain accrual-based financial recordsSupport budgeting, forecasting, and budget-to-actual analysisPartner with leadership on the financial health and performance of assigned entitiesPrepare year-end financial statements, tax reporting, and audit support schedulesDeliver ad hoc reporting and data summaries as neededAccounting OperationsOversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, and general ledger activityReview and approve transactions, journal entries, and reconciliationsManage compliance requests related to tax, audit, and insuranceStand up accounting operations for new venturesLead transitions of accounting functions between internal and external teamsProcess Improvement & AutomationDesign and implement accounting procedures and internal controlsLead accounting software implementations and system conversionsIdentify and drive automation opportunities to improve efficiencyTeam Leadership & TrainingTrain and mentor staff accountants and internsDocument processes and operating proceduresPlan workload, delegate tasks, and manage transitionsSupport interviewing and onboarding of new hiresQualifications:Bachelor 's degree in Accounting or Finance required CPA designation strongly preferred and effectively required for success in the role 3-5 years of relevant fund accounting experience, preferably within private equity settingsStrong understanding of joint venture structures, including multi-entity arrangements, blockers, feeders, and GP/LP allocations Experience preparing and reviewing NAV calculations, investor capital accounts, financial statements, and audit support materials Strong technical accounting knowledge and familiarity with GAAP reporting requirements Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and organization Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across internal and external stakeholdersCompany Benefits:401(k) Plan with Company MatchGenerous Health Plan with HSA MatchFlexible Paid Time-offDaily Company LunchesCell Phone Service AllowanceDiscounts at Company-owned Resorts and Golf Courses
