Job Summary As a Psych Registered Nurse in the East Geri Unit, you will coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with nursing standards and the organization’s mission to provide an unparalleled patient experience. What you will do in this role Assess patient condition during admission and throughout each shift, identifying and reporting changes in patient status. Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s); document administration of care in the patient medical record promptly and thoroughly. Respond promptly to patient requests, anticipating needs and proactively resolving issues. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver a holistic patient treatment plan that promotes recovery. Serve as the interface between healthcare providers and community support systems to coordinate ongoing care needs for specialized patient groups. Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or enrollment in a BSN or advanced degree program; must obtain BSN within five years of hire. (Grandfathering and extensions may apply; RNs with 10+ years experience are exempt.) Preferred: Master of Science in Nursing. Current RN license with the North Carolina Board of Nursing; eNLC (Enhanced Nurse License Compact) license may apply. BLS Healthcare Provider certification required.
