Registered Nurse Emergency Department

Mission Health, based in Asheville, NC, is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Emergency Department within our Healthcare & Medical Services team. As an ED Registered Nurse at Mission Health, you will provide compassionate, evidence-based care to patients of all ages presenting with a wide range of urgent and emergent conditions. You will perform rapid assessments, prioritize care using triage principles, administer medications and treatments, initiate and monitor IV therapy, and collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary team members to stabilize patients and support optimal outcomes. In this role, you will be responsible for continually monitoring patients for changes in condition, interpreting and responding to cardiac and other critical monitoring equipment, and documenting assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely in the electronic health record. You will provide patient and family education, support informed decision-making, and advocate for patient safety and comfort in a fast‑paced, high‑acuity environment. You will participate in emergency procedures such as resuscitation, trauma care, stroke and STEMI protocols, and sepsis bundles, following Mission Health’s clinical guidelines and quality standards.
