Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care for telemetry patients using established nursing processes and standards.
• Collect and interpret relevant health data, analyze assessments, and develop care plans to achieve outcomes.
• Implement care plans, coordinate with the healthcare team, and promote a safe healing environment.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, administer medications as prescribed, and respond to changes in patient status.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams; participate in discharge planning and patient education.
• Delegate appropriately, supervise assigned staff, and ensure thorough documentation in the electronic medical record (EPIC and Cerner).

Requirements

• Current RN license in the state of practice (California)
• BSN preferred; acute care experience preferred; minimum of two years of recent clinical experience
• BLS and ACLS certification required; NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) required
• Facility-specific BLS (HS-BLS or RQI BLS) certification required
• Recent EPIC and Cerner experience required; ability to document and retrieve information in the EMR accurately
• Ability to work in a hospital setting and contribute to a multidisciplinary team
