Step into a world of advanced care and professional growth on Nelson 7 at The Johns Hopkins Hospital! This 23-bed unit offers an exciting blend of 17 acute care medicine telemetry beds and 6 intermediate care (IMC) beds, where new hires receive comprehensive orientation to both settings. On Nelson 7, you'll encounter highly complex cases that push the boundaries of traditional med/surg/telemetry, offering a unique opportunity to deepen your expertise in managing critically ill patients. With RN-to-patient ratios of 4:1 to 5:1 on telemetry and 2:1 to 3:1 on IMC, you'll deliver personalized, high-impact care that truly makes a difference. Our patient population spans cardiac, respiratory, hepatic, and renal disease states, providing a stimulating and challenging environment where you can build your skills and knowledge. Nelson 7 is more than just a unitit's a high-functioning, cohesive team that values the Shared Governance model and consistently exceeds targets for nurse-sensitive quality indicators.

Qualifications:

• Active Maryland or Compact RN license is required at time of hire
• BLS CPR required
• New Graduate RN for a Fall/Winter start
• Associate's Degree in nursing (ADN) (Required)
• BSN (preferred) and applicants w/an ADN in nursing will be considered. Per nursing guidelines, must matriculate into a BSN program.

Salary Range: Minimum 39.64/hour - Maximum 61.45/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
