Accounting Manager

Mackie Myers is partnering with an established fashion and apparel brand to identify a detail-oriented Accounting Manager ready to take on meaningful ownership across the full accounting function in a dynamic, consumer-facing environment. About the Role Reporting directly to the CFO, the Accounting Manager will oversee day-to-day accounting operations with broad exposure across accounts receivable, accounts payable, month-end close, and financial reporting - while serving as a key cross-functional partner to Sales and Planning. Responsibilities Manage the full accounts receivable cycle including A/R aging, collections, chargeback validation, credit memos, and reconciliation of the A/R ledger Actively manage and minimize aged receivables through ongoing outreach and collections efforts Reconcile credit card transactions, bank accounts, and invoice details against warehouse shipped reports Oversee accounts payable, fixed assets, payroll, accruals, and related GL close activities Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, budgets, and forecasts in accordance with GAAP Support and lead the full month-end close process Maintain and strengthen internal controls and evaluate business process improvements Develop metrics and KPIs to identify problem areas and move the business forward Partner cross-functionally with Sales and Planning on order status, chargeback resolution, and related accounting matters Contribute to process improvements across NetSuite and Excel to support continued scale Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required Required Skills 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience within retail, apparel, or a product-based company Strong background in accounts receivable, accounts payable, and full-cycle accounting operations Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting Proficiency with NetSuite or comparable ERP system required; advanced Excel skills a must Public accounting background strongly preferred; CPA or CPA candidate a plus Strong communicator comfortable working across departments and directly with customers Thrives in a fast-moving, lean environment where precision and ownership matter Comfortable with a predominantly onsite schedule (4 days/week in office) Preferred Skills Public accounting background strongly preferred; CPA or CPA candidate a plus #J-18808-Ljbffr Mackie Myers
