Travel L&D / Postpartum RN - $2,758 per week

Thrive Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Oxnard, California. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Labor and Delivery Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/14/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse Unit Information The unit provides comprehensive care in a dynamic environment with the following capacities: Labor & Delivery Beds: 7 beds Triage Beds: 4 triage beds, 2 overflow beds Postpartum Beds: 27 beds with a 5-bed nursery Births: Approximately 3 births per day, totaling around 1545 per year Responsibilities Nurses will be responsible for: Following AWOHNN guidelines for patient care ratios. Utilizing the FetalLink system in conjunction with the Cerner EMR for charting. Performing circulating duties during C-sections; scrubbing is preferred but not required. Floating between Labor & Delivery and Postpartum units, and assisting in the NICU as needed. Delivering care to high-risk deliveries, and addressing cases with substance abuse or no prenatal care. Qualifications Applicants must meet the following qualifications: 2-3 years of nursing experience in an appropriate specialty. Prior travel contract experience is preferred. Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and Advanced Fetal Monitoring. Experience with C-sections in a circulating role. Working Conditions Details regarding the working environment include: Shifts: 12-hour shifts, from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM and 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts within a 4-week schedule. Call Requirement: Optional, preferred if willing to participate. Holiday Requirement: Will work holidays alongside permanent staff, including one major and one minor holiday. Orientation New hires will receive: 3 shifts of floor-specific orientation to ensure familiarity with unit protocols and procedures. Additional Information The unit is supported by: OB/Neonatologist available and on call 24/7 with a 30-minute response time. Respiratory Therapy and Pharmacy services available 24/7. Nurse Aides/OB techs available for support during procedures and patient intake.
