Key Responsibilities\n \n \n Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the specific needs and goals of individuals seeking treatment for substance use disorders. \n \n Collaborate with clients to develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based therapeutic interventions and align with their recovery objectives. \n \n Provide one-on-one counseling sessions utilizing techniques such as motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy to facilitate client engagement and progress. \n \n Facilitate group therapy sessions, creating a safe space for participants to share experiences, learn from each other, and build supportive connections. \n \n Work closely with an integrated team of psychiatrists, addiction medicine specialists, and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for clients. \n \n Provide crisis intervention and support during times of acute substance-related crises, ensuring immediate needs are addressed effectively. \n \n Educate clients and their families about the nature of addiction, recovery options, and available community resources to support long-term success. \n \n Maintain precise and confidential documentation in accordance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards. \n \n Actively participate in team meetings, case reviews, and professional development workshops to continually enhance service delivery and staff collaboration. \n \n Stay informed of the latest research and advancements in substance use disorder treatment to ensure the highest quality of care. \n Patient Population / Client Focus\n Your role will focus on individuals dealing with substance use disorders, requiring a compassionate and nonjudgmental approach. You will engage with clients at various stages of their recovery journey, providing support tailored to their unique circumstances. This population may include individuals from diverse backgrounds, each with their own challenges and victories in seeking recovery. Qualifications\n \n \n Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. \n \n Valid and current licensure in New Jersey as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT is required. \n \n A solid understanding of substance use disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities is essential. \n \n Demonstrated experience in delivering both individual and group therapy within an addiction treatment context. \n \n Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with an emphasis on building rapport with clients and their families. \n \n Ability to maintain professional boundaries while ensuring adherence to ethical guidelines and patient confidentiality. \n \n Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and applicable computer software. \n \n Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to collaborative care approaches. \n Preferred Experience\n \n \n A minimum of one year of hands-on experience in a clinical counseling role focused on substance use disorders. \n Compensation and Benefits\n We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000, complemented by performance-based bonuses and a sign-on bonus for new employees.
