Work Environment\n

This position provides the unique opportunity to work from home, affording you the flexibility to balance your professional obligations with personal commitments. While you will primarily engage with clients remotely, you will also have the chance to connect with a supportive team of professionals who foster an inclusive culture of continuous learning and development. Our normal business hours are Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a structured yet flexible work schedule.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth assessments to evaluate the severity, frequency, and impact of mood disorder symptoms, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of each client's challenges.

• Collaborate with clients to formulate personalized treatment plans that accommodate their specific needs, aspirations, and therapeutic progress.

• Implement evidence-based interventions in sessions, utilizing modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to effectively manage mood disorders.

• Provide educational resources and psychosocial support, enabling clients and their families to understand mood disorders and navigate treatment options successfully.

• Regularly monitor clients' progress through consistent follow-up sessions, adjusting treatment plans based on their evolving needs and responses to therapy.

• Work closely with psychiatrists and interdisciplinary professionals, fostering integrated care that addresses both psychological and pharmacological aspects of treatment.

• Stay engaged with contemporary research and clinical practices regarding mood disorders, translating knowledge into actionable insights that enhance therapeutic effectiveness.

• Maintain precise and confidential records of all client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans to comply with regulatory standards and best practices.

• Participate in team meetings and case consultations, sharing expertise and insights that contribute to collective learning and collaborative care strategies.

• Advocate for clients by working to reduce stigma surrounding mental health issues and promoting awareness of resources available to those affected by mood disorders.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals experiencing mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related challenges. By employing a person-centered approach, you will create safe spaces for clients to explore their mental health issues and cultivate their resilience through therapy.

Qualifications\n

• Possession of a Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in New York State.
\n
• Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based therapeutic modalities, particularly CBT and DBT, tailored towards mood disorder treatment.
\n
• Solid understanding of psychopharmacology, enabling effective collaboration with prescribing psychiatrists regarding client medication management.
\n
• A proven record of successful outcomes in therapeutic settings, emphasizing mood disorders and client-centered interventions.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of connecting with clients from diverse backgrounds and fostering empathy in therapeutic relationships.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working in a remote or outpatient mental health setting is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits\n
