Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed mental health assessments of elderly clients to identify specific emotional, psychological, and behavioral needs.

• Provide individual and group counseling sessions that specifically address the emotional challenges tied to aging, such as depression, anxiety, and feelings of isolation.

• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to create individualized care plans that aim to holistically benefit geriatric residents, ensuring integrated support across disciplines.

• Engage and educate families and staff on mental health strategies and coping skills to improve the emotional well-being and quality of life of elderly individuals.

• Facilitate grief and loss counseling to assist residents and families coping with end-of-life issues, providing them with a safe space to process their emotions.

• Implement cognitive stimulation therapies and other mental health interventions to promote sustained mental acuity among elderly clients.

• Document all client interactions and adhere to confidentiality and ethical standards while maintaining detailed records in compliance with healthcare regulations.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field from an accredited institution.

Compensation and Benefits\n
