Make a positive impact supporting K-12 students as a Social Worker in a special education district located near Warren, MI. Key Qualifications:

• Active Michigan school social worker certification (310) is required—please provide a copy with your application.
• For candidates without the certification, approved supervision arrangements must be in place prior to interviewing.
• Experience working in schools and with students receiving special education services is highly valued.
• Ability to collaborate with teaching staff, administrators, and families.
• Flexible, problem-solving mindset and a passion for advocating on behalf of K-12 learners.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

• Provide social work services to students within K-12 special education settings.
• Conduct individual and group counseling tailored to students’ social-emotional needs.
• Develop behavioral and support strategies in partnership with education teams.
• Consult with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop plans that support student success.
• Maintain documentation in compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines.
• Serve as a resource for crisis intervention and connect families with community supports.
• Work exclusively onsite to maximize student connection and support.
