Embark on a meaningful contract opportunity supporting students across a Special Education District serving K-12 learners near Sterling Heights, MI. This role runs from ASAP through June 11, 2026, and requires a dedicated, onsite presence working collaboratively with educational teams and student families.

Ideal candidates bring expertise in school social work, a strong understanding of student needs from kindergarten through high school, and a commitment to fostering emotional and academic growth within a diverse school setting.

Qualifications:

• Active Michigan school social worker certification (310). Please provide a copy with your application.
• If certification is not yet held, appropriate supervision arrangements must be secured prior to interview consideration.
• Prior experience or training in K-12 and Special Education settings is highly valued.
• Ability to work onsite and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong communication, advocacy, and resource facilitation skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students’ academic, social, and emotional success by providing counseling, crisis intervention, and case management services.
• Partner with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and monitor individualized interventions and plans.
• Facilitate access to community resources and connect families with supportive services.
• Conduct assessments, maintain documentation, and assist in creating safe, inclusive learning environments.
• Maintain compliance with all applicable practices, policies, and certification standards.
