Make a significant difference in the lives of students as a school social worker in a dynamic K-12 special education district. This contract opportunity starts as soon as possible and continues through mid-June 2026. Your expertise will directly support students and families, collaborating closely with educational professionals and contributing to a positive school environment onsite each day.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Michigan school social work certification (310) is required; please provide a copy with your application.
• Experience working with K-12 students in a school or special education setting highly preferred.
• Familiarity with the needs of diverse learners and understanding of IEP processes.
• Ability to collaborate with school staff, administrators, and families to develop and implement individualized student plans.
• Supervisory arrangements must be in place prior to interviewing if certification is not available.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct social work services to students, including assessments, counseling, and crisis intervention.
• Design and implement strategies to support the social and emotional well-being of students in a special education context.
• Serve as a key team member, participating in IEP meetings and collaborating on individualized educational goals.
• Maintain accurate records, documentation, and required reports.
• Liaise with families, outside agencies, and community resources to coordinate comprehensive student support.
