My Therapy Kids is a pediatric home health company dedicated to helping children reach their fullest potential through individualized, family-centered therapy in natural environments. The Speech-Language Assistant works closely with speech-language pathologists, providing support in evaluating and treating pediatric clients to improve communication, independence, and participation in daily activities. This role requires regular travel to client homes and the ability to work independently while collaborating with the therapy team.

Rate: $40-45 a 30 min session (depending on experience)

Location: Hiring for The Woodlands, Conroe, Spring, Cypress areas.

 

Responsibilities

• Perform speech and language examinations to assess degree of impairment
• Evaluate test results including speech, hearing, and swallowing assessments
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for speech, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing
• Educate patients and families on communication techniques and coping strategies
• Write reports and maintain documentation for client evaluation, progress, and discharge
• Coordinate paperwork, lesson plans, and case management activities
• Develop individual and group activities to address communication and swallowing challenges
• Participate in team meetings including individualized educational planning (IEP) and intervention assistance
• Instruct clients in effective communication methods such as sign language, lip reading, or voice improvement

 

Required Qualifications

• Associate- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• Appropriate certifications and/or licensures
• 1-2 years of related experience in speech-language services

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with pediatric clients in home health settings
• Ability to travel regularly for client visits
• Strong collaboration skills with speech-language pathologists
• Entry-level experience in speech-language services
